Anyway, thrilled to see you back :-) Your new Album is superb, but over the last week or so I’ve been listening to a lot of your old (though timeless) works. I own both original vinyl and CD copies of all your recordings, and they hold many pleasant memories. They’re not only very good recordings for the time which capture your unique vocal beautifully, its your writing skills that really stand out, and to think many of these were written when you were still at school – amazing indeed! Today we hear a more mature Kate Bush, but still very beautiful. The school girl innocents have been replaced with motherly warmth and the added wisdom of time. We’re the same age Kate, and from the same area originally … I don’t know about you, but I miss those early days of youthful wonderment and excitement … age brings to much understanding of reality and the pressure of everyday living, and I for one forever try to re-create that feeling of safeness we felt as children in the comfort of the nest, we do this for our children, but never quite seem to pull it off for ourselves – we create our own world, but sadly you can’t unlearn and therefore never return to those youthful feelings of excitement & wonderment.
